化学合成核酸ECHOプローブは、標的の核酸配列に結合することによって明るく光ります。この「化学の明かり」は、ゲノム配列情報のありかを我々に示し、細胞生物学や遺伝学や医科学などの発展に貢献します。
先端学際工学専攻では、ゲノムサイエンスやデバイス開発、バリアフリー研究や政治学・経済学に至るまで、理系・文系の垣根を越えて、駒場リサーチキャンパスでの多くのインタラクティブな研究を推進しています。これらの研究成果は、さまざまな社会問題について考える機会を我々の社会にもたらしています。

The chemically synthesized nucleic acid ECHO probe illuminates brightly by binding to the target nucleic acid sequence. This chemical lantern tells us where the genome sequence information is, and contributes to the development of cell biology, genetics and medicinal sciences.
The Department of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies promotes a number of interactive researches at the Komaba Research Campus beyond the boundaries between natural sciences and humanities, including genomics science, device development, barrier-free research, politics, and economics. These findings give our society the opportunity to think about various social issues.
