A model of the rocket engine model combustor with a pintle injectors, which has the deep throttling capability and the high combustion stability. The radially injected propellant impinged with the axially impinged one, resulting in the atomization, mixing and combustion. Pintle injectors are used for main rocket engines and landers.
This research has been collaborated with Interstellar Technologies, Inc., and results have been applied to developments of the sounding rocket MOMO and the satellite launcher ZERO.
