An initial concept model of morphing wing for the efficient flight by changing the wing shape corresponding to various flight profiles. A corrugated structure was proposed to realize the stiffness for aerodynamic loads and the flexibility simultaneously. In 2012, a wind tunnel model was designed to simulate the wing structure of small aviation, and the actuation of the morphing wing under the aerodynamic loads was successfully demonstrated.
